With over 120 natural hot springs in the city, Budapest is famous for its thermal waters and is a favorite spa destination. Healing waters, spa treatments, massage therapies, fitness packages, health spas, beauty treatments and medical spas await the wellness-minded travelers.<\/p>\n
The Danubius Hotel Group, a Hungarian hotel chain, developed all its spa resorts based on the famous hot springs.<\/p>\n
Their property on Margaret Island, the four-star Danubius Health Spa Resort Margitsziget, was in fact the first metropolitan spa & wellness hotel in the world. The island\u2019s natural thermal springs, rich in minerals, feed the resort\u2019s spa.<\/p>\n
The same springs feed the health spas of two other resorts: the four-star Danubius Health Spa Resort Helia, overlooking Margaret Island from the Pest side and the five-star Ramada Plaza Budapest, located on the Buda side.<\/p>\n
Danubius\u2019 other and perhaps even more famous spa hotel, the four-star Danubius Hotel Gell\u00e9rt is located in the city center, at the foot of Gell\u00e9rt Hill.<\/p>\n
